Out in the Bay - Gay Radio from San Francisco

GroupAccount image
Queer histories, herstories, personalities and issues are explored with humor, insight and sensitivity each week on Out in the Bay , a weekly half-hour interview show originating from KALW (91.7 FM San Francisco). We've been called "the gay Fresh Air " and even "the gay Smiley & West ." Since October 2004, we’ve interviewed such luminous figures as film directors Ang Lee and John Waters, comedians Margaret Cho and Marga Gomez, singers Lesley Gore and Michael Feinstein, film actors and Broadway stars. We’ve also featured civil rights pioneers Phyllis Lyon and the late Del Martin, Matthew Shepard’s mother Judy Shepard, other community leaders, historians, authors, scholars, and everyday people with compelling stories about the reality of LGBT life.
